Integrative Psychotherapy

There are many types of psychotherapy, and it can be overwhelming to keep track of them all. Integrative psychotherapy combines two foundational modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy. Both approaches have rich histories, and are backed by extensive research. Despite their distinct methods, these modalities complement each other effectively in the therapeutic process, creating a well-rounded and versatile approach to addressing mental health challenges.

Short Term Strategies - Long Term Insight

CBT is a structured approach to psychotherapy involving a focus on improving ways of thinking and behaving. In contrast, psychodynamic therapy is an in-depth exploration of "who" we are, and "how" we came to be the way we are. These modalities of therapy extend as far back as the origins of psychotherapy itself and the most tried and trusted forms of psychotherapy. Integrating these two modality produces a variation of psychotherapy that offers short term relief, while also cultivating greater self-understanding.
